Katie –
After a little digging, I would suggest using Wikispaces at www.wikispaces.com
Three types of wiki’s can be produced:
Public (free)
Everyone can view and
edit your pages.
Protected (free)
Everyone can view
pages, only wiki members can edit them.
Private (first 30 days free)
Only wiki members can
view and edit pages.
For
the “Protected” wiki, you can email invitations to those who you want to be
involved:

The
site requires all who are invited to your wiki to request membership. Then
the organizer of the wiki is in charge of accepting or denying that membership
request. This is a step in the right direction for you. Yet, the
wiki will remain open for anyone to view.
I
have emailed you a request for the “SAMPLE-FOR-WSR” wiki that I started so you
can get a feel for the site.
Please email me with
any questions you might have.
Thanks and best of
luck with your wiki project!

Wiki
Hi dudes-
I would like to set up a password protected wiki for
next year for my classroom. I would like to only allow parents who have a
pass code (or similar security feature) to access it. There are all sorts
of yahoos on the internet, you know. Can someone please provide guidance
on how to do this?
Thanks!
