MUGAN'S CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS - UPDATED JANUARY 17, 2023:

• It is okay to be RESPECTFUL including:
  • Its okay to have respect for WSR Rules
    • Personal technology use during class. Handbook - Phones
      • No phones except for instructor led class activitiy. Iowa Governor Reynolds announces school cell phone ban
    • No Hats Handbook - hats
    • Water bottles are acceptable to bring to class.
    • Snacks are acceptable.
      • Its okay to visit GoHawk on the Go between classes.
    • Cheating
      
      • I will monitor student web use during exams
      • Handbook - cheating
  • Its okay to have respect for each other
    • Listen when others are speaking - Instructor or Classmate...
      
      • Remove headphones or both earbuds when appropriate.
    • Behavior that infringes on the rights of others will not be tolerated.
      • Foul language Handbook - Profanity
      • Bullying or Harassment Handbook - Bullying
  • Its okay to have respect for the learning process

• It is okay to be RESPONSIBLE including:
  • Its okay to be responsible for myself
    • Being on time means to be in your seat before the tones sound.
    • Have all materials needed for class.
  • Its okay to be responsible for understanding how Biology with Mugan works.
    • All assignments must be completed to pass the course.
    • Stage quiz work must be completed to 100%.
    • Missing assignments result in communication:
      • Emails to student, parents, administrators, teachers, coaches and sponsors
    • Exams can be retaken.
      • Any exam - Any time (Except the final exam)
    • Score update form must be used if a posted grade needs to be changed.
    • How can I get help?
      • Ask questions during class
      • Ask questions via email
      • Ask questions outside of class by appointment.
    • Course grading.
      • Work will be given a point value
      • Grades are determined by a percentage of points earned.
      • The grade scale:

        A	100% - 93%
        A-	92% - 90%
        B+	89% - 87%
        B	86% - 83%
        B-	82% - 80%
        C+	79% - 77%
        C	76% - 73%
        C-	72% - 70%
        D+	69% - 67%
        D	66% - 63%
        D-	62% - 60%
        F	59% - 0%

  • Its okay to be responsible for school technology
    • Chromebooks will be used daily Handbook - Chromebooks
      • Be Gentle with them - Use their case
      • Have them charged and ready for class
      • Get them repaired ASAP if an accident happens
